@JonJon reminds of a newspaper cartoon from years ago (Shoe, i think), birds running a newspaper and such. One bird was a Loon. Not sure of the whole scene or what it meant but the funny part was the base calling the Loon "carrier pigeon" saying "Tower to Loon", trust me it was funny.
