I find it helpful, so far, to listen on YT & type here... I’m fairly certain there’s a better way, but am still early in the learning curve. Best to all the other newbies!

I was able to access it on my phone less then a week ago. I can only access casual chat now. I can see both patriot soap box and casual chat on my computer, but I can't listen or talk in either .Youtube chat is terrible in my opinion

@Evilanne you should be able to access both voice chats from either device. there is nothing in the settings or permissions to prevent you.

make sure you have the channel list expanded and not collapsed, look for the tiny arrow to the left of the channels header.

I think my mike has been turned off. Tried all day to connect and cant.

@JBS59 your mic is not turned off server side, if it is off it must be on your end alone,
you should be able to join, if the program is bugging try restarting it,

well let my post my question in hopes some may be able to help. Im newish to linux messed around with many distros currently using ubuntu. my issues is i can watch prerecorded youtube videos but can not watch live streams. i get this error "your browser does not recognize any video formats available" i click their link www.youtube.com/html5 and am being shown my browser (FF) does not support H.264, WebM VP8, MSE & H.264, MSE & WebM VP9.

to give an update. i gave up on trying to get FF to work installed chrome.

@pages as for dm’s I believe what you do is go to the top right. Click the person icon, find who you want to msg in the side bar, click on them and it’ll give you a few options with the msg option at the bottom

@pages ok if you look at the top right you see a magnifying glass and an icon resembling ppl. Click on that. It’ll show you the list of ppl on discord. Click on the person, at the bottom there should be a msg option
