France was obliged to help Russia just like Germany was obliged to help Austria

If Germany hadn't annexed the region good relations between the French and Germans would still be possible
The only main wars between the 2 countries would be the Napoleonic wars, Franco-Prussian war, WW1, and WW2
Before then relations weren't that bad
Austria was more of a threat than France pre 20th century
thats a fair point, although the behavior of the french in the occupied rhineland (interwar years) to me speaks revenge

If these predictions are true, which certainly seem to be the case, then this is probably the last half century before most of humanity faces annihilation. Such is life under capitalism.
