Protestantism needs to disappear though

2018-11-30 23:22:45 UTC

It's by its very definition dividing

2018-11-30 23:22:48 UTC

I'm a protestant smh

2018-11-30 23:22:53 UTC

So am I

2018-11-30 23:23:04 UTC

But im considering Orthodoxy or Catholicism

2018-11-30 23:23:43 UTC

As a Catholic, it confuses me when Protestants have faiths very similar to Catholicism (for example Lutheranism)

2018-11-30 23:24:19 UTC

@Lord Tachanka My slavic church is pretty much exactly orthodox, just not connected to the Orthodox church and therefore protestant

2018-11-30 23:24:59 UTC

Maybe we can compromise in a way so that the faith is unchanged, but people can interpret God in their own ways so that they stay with their church

2018-11-30 23:25:31 UTC

@Lord Tachanka there are some very big differences

2018-11-30 23:25:40 UTC

Like Sola Fide

2018-11-30 23:25:52 UTC

Belief you can be saved by faith *alone*

2018-11-30 23:26:00 UTC

Genetic modification is the future

2018-11-30 23:26:12 UTC

Good day

2018-11-30 23:26:17 UTC

Religion is essential for unity and values though

2018-11-30 23:26:29 UTC

It's beyond essential

2018-11-30 23:27:01 UTC

I know, but Orthodoxy and a lot of Protestant Churches are similar to Catholicism

2018-11-30 23:27:18 UTC

eek

2018-11-30 23:27:21 UTC

Wrong wording

2018-11-30 23:27:28 UTC

Orthodox and Catholic are very similar

2018-11-30 23:27:33 UTC

Protestantism is not very similar

2018-11-30 23:28:08 UTC

Catholics and Orthodox Churches both come from the Early Church (the first christian church made by Apostle Paul)

2018-11-30 23:28:24 UTC

Some Churches are though, and only have small differentiations. Now some Churches are very different, which I respect, I'm talking about the similar ones

2018-11-30 23:28:27 UTC

Protestantism does not, it came from a rebellion against the Catholic Church

2018-11-30 23:28:54 UTC

Modern day Lutheranism is similar, while Calvinism and Evangelicalism are not

2018-11-30 23:29:03 UTC

Those are just examples

2018-11-30 23:30:13 UTC

I just want to avoid a conflict where Christians kill other Christians because some greedy businessmen can make a fortune.

2018-11-30 23:33:15 UTC

tbh, some genetic modification is fine

2018-11-30 23:33:36 UTC

The thing i don't like about catholicism

2018-11-30 23:33:40 UTC

What are you getting at?

2018-11-30 23:33:43 UTC

Is that they have the rosary thing

2018-11-30 23:33:45 UTC

If you want to cure a disease or resolve some immune system issues, fine

2018-11-30 23:34:00 UTC

And they claim that mary can help or somehow send messages to jesus or is currently in heaven

2018-11-30 23:34:02 UTC

RWDS- like the emphasis on Mary?

2018-11-30 23:34:05 UTC

Just don't change your ovaries or something degenerate

2018-11-30 23:34:07 UTC

In the bible it claims everyone is sleeping in the grave

2018-11-30 23:34:15 UTC

Except for the exceptions written in the bible

2018-11-30 23:34:21 UTC

jesus, moses, i think enoch and abraham

2018-11-30 23:34:22 UTC
2018-11-30 23:34:25 UTC

let me explain why

2018-11-30 23:34:27 UTC

And the angels

2018-11-30 23:34:31 UTC

Editing for the healing purposes isnt not illicit, but can be made illicit due to the circumstances around it. ie if the procedure was developed from the usage of using stems sells from aborted babies. Gene modification for the purpose of improvement is always illicit.
