@Da_Fish As an actual resident of Vermont, I disagree
Where are you from? I just want to know so I can tell you its not worth saving
Vermont has a rich history and a vibrant culture and land. Many of our left-wingers, though perhaps misguided, have a strong connection to Vermont and her well-being. Furthermore, many of our multi-generational left-wingers are pro-gun. What's more, all of us appreciate an agrarian lifestyle and are proud of our banishment of the Mormons in the 1800s. Vermont used to be its own country, and it was founded due to radical militia activity that slowly liberated every town in the region. We are the only producers of Cabot and Grafton cheese, something thats quite popular in the north-east, and if we were to secede and market it right, even more popular. We're also ethnically pretty homogeneous and focused on many of the same issues regardless of political leanings.
@everyone Daily Question 🔖 book
Which is more valuable to you? A high skilled and well educated immigrant or an immigrant who is like minded and similar in thought to your countrymen?
High skilled
>immigrant
>valuable
give me a break
Well educated
Islam will take care of the diversity issue
an immigrant that leaves again is the most valuable of all immigrants
Tough question tho
U know we can derive value from them in their own country
Via trade
trade is gay tho
Ok
The latter option implies the immigrant will be more likely to integrate than the former?
it's hard to give an accurate answer because we don't know how different the highly skilled and educated immigrant is from you and your country's culture and traditions, and we don't know how low skilled the immigrant that is like like minded and similar to you is
Yes, let's phrase it this way:
Would you rather have an Anglo immigrate to America or a well educated German move there?
a skilled immigrant obviously
long term he will be more useful
if he's willing to help the nation that is
I'd rather have the Anglo
Bcause he is more like me
America is no longer anglo
If the guy's educated enough sooner or later he'll understand it'd an easier if he adapts than if he tries to adapt society
No, but it is an English speaking nation with a legal system that borrows from that of the British.
I don't care as as long as they're European stock
if there illegal they shouldnt even be here so
if the choice is between an anglo and a german you might as well pick the highly skilled one since it's not _that_ big of a difference in terms or culture and so on
also there are more americans of german decent than anglo decent iirc so the german would fit better in that an anglo anyway
I mean, the problem with current immigration is the new immigrants are mostly uneducated and therefore more reluctant to adapt to a more civilized country
@Harald Not really because it's still mostly Anglo culture, philosophy and language
All the Jerries assimilated
I think it would be better to make it a choice between an low skilled Anglo immigrant and a high skilled Mexican immigrant
make it a bigger cultural contrast
ANGLO
