but not as much in more affluent locations
More or less
While also saying minority groups are often more economically troubled than majority groups
Considering disproportional representation in poorer demographics
Do you believe class could be a factor?
And if so (or even if you don't, honestly), have you ever considered the economic history of minority groups?
I do believe it can be a factor
I never said race or location was the only factor
Or of lingering societal attitudes, even to this day (albeit de facto, rather than de jure), which might contribute?
I said the opposite
Yep I can agree to that as well
"have you ever considered the economic history of minority groups?"
Hungary is far poorer than blacks in the United States
*as a nation
Hungarians are not that criminal
Okay? The GDP overall is lower
and income
and standard of living
and income, true
standard of living, sure
But presumably
that applies to all communities within the region
We can probably replicate the same thing in Asia
Sans maybe a few oligarchs, everyone's not doing terribly well
East Europe is a shithole is what he is saying
And in Asia I can name a ton of countries
As opposed to a rather rigid class divide
Or at least, a more substantial one, wherein a fair portion are left in the dirt while a middle class is commonly available, thriving at the expense of the poor
Doesn't really make sense. The last time I checked, it doesn't matter why or why you don't have access to certain resources, what matters is if you do or not. Sounds like a cop out
I'm not implying that it's why or why not you don't
Minority groups have more access to resources than ever
^
I'm attempting to imply that due to the whole nation being poorer, that's seen as status quo
rather than disadvantaged
And of course, everyone does
This is the way technological progress pushes us
Saying "things are better" doesn't mean "things are okay" or "things are acceptable"
"I'm attempting to imply that due to the whole nation being poorer, that's seen as status quo
rather than disadvantaged"
Doesn't really change anything
it does, though
Not really
Minority groups are disadvantaged by their own cultures, I know cause I was in them
