babies with observable severe health issues (whether mental or physical) should be aborted

and already alive people with them should be sterilized

ultrasounds can see a lot of stuff, I’m not really an expert on how advanced our technology for observing babies inside wombs is but I’m sure in some time there will be ways to detect nearly every handicap before birth

DNA-tests can detect downs syndrome for example

and you must weigh the quality of life the person will have, the argument of “well the child would be born to a poor single mother” isn’t good because there is still a very good chance that they will grow up and have a good life

but someone with severe mental retardation, that isn’t a good life and it is a massive drain on resources

if i was to be born with some horrific unfixable deformity or mental retardation that made my life miserable I’d rather just be aborted before I had to suffer through it all
