and you must weigh the quality of life the person will have, the argument of “well the child would be born to a poor single mother” isn’t good because there is still a very good chance that they will grow up and have a good life

but someone with severe mental retardation, that isn’t a good life and it is a massive drain on resources

if i was to be born with some horrific unfixable deformity or mental retardation that made my life miserable I’d rather just be aborted before I had to suffer through it all
