but then how did he create the universe if he wasn't?

2018-07-26 18:52:30 UTC

Who created god?

2018-07-26 18:52:48 UTC

you mean something like the end of The Last Question or what?

2018-07-26 18:53:11 UTC

The abrahamic god had to exist as 3 major religions all speak of him throughout the course of history

2018-07-26 18:53:30 UTC

Wether he was a higher power or sides with one religion in particular is debatable

2018-07-26 18:54:44 UTC

I was having a debate about if some animals are capable of understanding mortality with anon last night

2018-07-26 18:56:43 UTC

I'm not in the capacities to side on that subject

2018-07-26 18:56:57 UTC

but common knowledge has always said not

2018-07-26 18:57:24 UTC

Some animals have been documented mourning over theyre dead young

2018-07-26 18:58:07 UTC

that's true

2018-07-26 18:58:56 UTC

dogs shed tears when they see their mother dead or are abussed by humans

2018-07-26 18:59:37 UTC

Anon argued that only humans are capable of going to heaven because they are the only sentient lifeform

2018-07-26 18:59:54 UTC

However, creatures have been documented showing emotions many times

2018-07-26 19:00:14 UTC

Typically primates, elephants, and cetaceans (whales & doliphins)

2018-07-26 19:00:51 UTC

but the thing is if they understand their actions are whether right or wrong or rather they just act according to survival principles

2018-07-26 19:01:00 UTC

remember the definition of morality

"Scientists studying animal behaviour believe they have growing evidence that species ranging from mice to primates are governed by moral codes of conduct in the same way as humans.

Until recently, humans were thought to be the only species to experience complex emotions and have a sense of morality.

But Prof Marc Bekoff, an ecologist at University of Colorado, Boulder, believes that morals are "hard-wired" into the brains of all mammals and provide the "social glue" that allow often aggressive and competitive animals to live together in groups.

He has compiled evidence from around the world that shows how different species of animals appear to have an innate sense of fairness, display empathy and help other animals that are in distress."

2018-07-26 19:03:39 UTC

"Recent neurology work has also revealed that distantly related mammals such as whales and dolphins have the same structures in their brains that are thought to be responsible for empathy in humans."

2018-07-26 19:03:53 UTC

"Other findings have also suggested that some animals may even be capable of showing empathy with the suffering of other species."

2018-07-26 19:04:09 UTC

I see

2018-07-26 19:04:18 UTC

very interesting indeed

2018-07-26 19:05:00 UTC

Its still controversial as its one of those Science Vs. Religion things

2018-07-26 19:06:06 UTC

The problem is religion makes humans feel special

2018-07-26 19:06:23 UTC

especially the thought of your species being the only intellegent lifeform that will get to go to the afterlife

2018-07-26 19:06:46 UTC

but then when that gets disproved, not only does it mock religion, but it mocks humans aswell so of course there will be denial

2018-07-26 19:11:28 UTC

at least I don't relate morality as a religious matter

2018-07-26 19:12:28 UTC

but the capacity of judge if actions are right or wrong according to your principles

2018-07-26 19:13:51 UTC

which might be founded in religion,of course, but also in sole logic

2018-07-26 19:18:51 UTC

"why would I attack somebody who haven't done anything against me?"or "why do I have to obey my authorities?" can be answered outside of a religious perspective if you ask me

2018-07-26 19:37:41 UTC

aaand I killed the chat

2018-07-27 01:54:50 UTC

2018-07-27 08:40:17 UTC

Mhm

2018-07-27 08:40:24 UTC

What do you define as nationalism?

2018-07-27 08:40:26 UTC

In your words?

2018-07-27 08:42:09 UTC

I haven't ever searched about Nationalism in the terms of owning a state. Nationalism in my words is a far right winded ideology. It is born from Fascism, and it is a light form if Fascism is we wanted to make this easy-to- understand.

2018-07-27 08:42:26 UTC

That's where i disagree

2018-07-27 08:42:40 UTC

I take nationalism as an ifeology
