“It is important that these results be viewed as the starting point of a dialogue and not as conclusive evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the officer,”
The report itself says the evidence brought forth isnt conclusive, nor absolute evidence that it is racial bias, because they didnt take into account all variables.
"While the results are worth noting, it should be taken into account the lack of visibility of race also is combined with the lack of visibility of driver error, leading to higher rates of pull overs on minorities, who's driving style is noticeably different to that of whites, which opens the possibility of a police officer making mistakes"
self evident
>im going to post "evidence" and then leave so im automatically right because i wont respond to their counter argument
oh my godddd
fine
last time i'm coming back
just don't fukken @ me
in the former case,it's talking about subconscious bias presumably
Jesus fuck, the subconscious bias bullshit.
haha, yes
What is the point in even talking about it
if I'm not aware of my bias then how will I act out on it
IF ITS SUBCONCIOUS
the fact that it still influences opinions?
how
You do act upon it, you're just unaware you act upon it
that's the thing
That's utter bullshit
wrong
what Anon said
or
"Implicit bias"
my bad
I mean, the wage gap is an example of implicit bias
Implicit Bias *is* SubCOn
Women, in a variety of fields, are less likely to be considered for promotions
Im convinced women *should* earn less, change my mind
Did you take into account hmm:
Hours worked
having a feminine name often leads to people being less likely to favor promotion
Vacations taken
Boldness
It was done in settings
Ambition
with controls over said things

No idiot is just going to make a test without any constants
