I mean, the wage gap is an example of implicit bias
Implicit Bias *is* SubCOn
Women, in a variety of fields, are less likely to be considered for promotions
Im convinced women *should* earn less, change my mind
Did you take into account hmm:
Hours worked
having a feminine name often leads to people being less likely to favor promotion
Vacations taken
Boldness
It was done in settings
Ambition
with controls over said things
anon
No idiot is just going to make a test without any constants
let me refer you to something, give me a minute
yeahhhh
I'm not watching a video, already short on time
as I said like 5 minutes ago
I do need to leave
or tomorrow, maybe
who knows
whenever I feel like coming back
we can continue then
Or you can never come back, if you do choose to come back, leave your *implicit bias* behind
You have an implicit bias against facts u are bigoted
"My limited entertainment from this is gone"
Well it seems they weren't being too serious about this
When, long ago, the gods created Earth
in Jove's fair image. Man was shaped at birth.
The beasts for lesser parts were next designed;
Yet were they too remote from humankind.
To fill the gap, and join the rest of man,
Th'Olympian host conceiv'd a clever plan.
A beast they wrought, in semi-human figure,
Filled it with vice, and called the thing a Nigger.
- H.P. Lovecraft
oof
If me and a man are doing equal work and performing at the same level with no variants I expect equal pay and treatment, but that’s not the world we live in and paying one person more just to “equal out the wage” is stupid.
It's almost *never* the case that they are doing the exact equal work
^
And there’s nothing the federal government could do even if it were an issue on a huge scale
Without impeding too much on other things
Then I hear
Muh equity
Equality is a myth
Equity=fairness right?
I mean
I'm not that serious about it
