They may be useful for social cohesion within a group of people
Or not
true, however groups tend to drive towards social structures that promote laws that promote group cohesion, and specifically allow purging of members in one way or another, to maintain cohesion
usually banishment
If a right serves a purpose we want then it is a useful tool. If it does not then it's a hindrance. That's what everyone thinks deep down
And yes they can be changed obviously they're changing all the time
I think we should bring back exile
Sure
Become a vagrant, and a vagabond.
Frowned upon everywhere you go.
I guess that person could just claim refugee status though.
Well if we're accepting refugees from around the world it will be hard to exile any
They'll just come back as refugees
Well, you can't go to a country you have be exiled from...
That's the point of exile.
Plus these vagrants may end up becoming bandits
They'll go to the next white country
By way of death.
An exile from the US will go to Canada and an exile from Canada will go to Europe
And of that country accepts them Despite our objections.
And exile need not last forever.
It's just within that frame can that person honour the law.
All I'm saying is first we have to change the way we operate as a society and our obsession with letting everyone in/tolerance
Tolerance should not be confused with willful ignorance.
We should end the culture of willful ignorance.
We should end both
Tolerance is no issue.
As it isn't allowing anything, it's allowing things within a tolerable measure.
E.g. a foreigner who respects the laws and traditions of a country.
You and I differ
Why should we be interested in any foreigners at all?
Well, say your population starts dying of a disease.
Where will your labour pool come from?
Or your population starts being replaced by foerigners...oh wait
How will you improve the conditions in the interim?
Or will you just tell everyone to suffer it out and wait?
Like here in Canada we are running out of medicine.
Well, even if we replace the dying native population with a new one the dying population still dies
And our labour force is basically dead.
So the dying population isn't improved any
