He's speaking in terms of the individual
Not the cohort
that's the issue
nationalism naturally excludes people who don't subscribe to it
or who it doesn't cover
Those people are selfish
by your opinions
They care not for the people, millions, only care for individualism
that's subjective
i care for the people and i am an internationalist
Your people?
youre already showing partiality to people who don't subscribe to your doctrine
Or "the world"
my people are the coheirs in Christ
And what of non believers?
Those who blasphemy the name of God
they exist in your nation just as much as they exist in the world
Your opinion on them
if they stray from God they are wrong
Tradition holds we must protect our people first
"1. My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons."
That verse relates to this one
@Vilhelmsson where is it located
James 2:1
Yep
James 2:1 echoes 2:9
Again it's referring to individuals
Not cohorts
So we can ostracize and exclude when a group of people seeks to worship or seek aid?
just because its not one person
Nationalism defends Christianity, it does not obstruct itm
So having partiality, or respect, is not a transgression unless it relates to the "faith of our Lord Jesus Christ".
I see that you didnt read James 2 at all
I asked a man I trust about the verse you posted.
Believers in Christ cannot show favoritism
that is what James 2:1 is about
nationalism is inherently combative to christian virtue
No, it's not
It's not denying help to others
it excludes peoples on subjective lines and exludes people who do not believe its sentiments, a christian nation would not regress two steps back to do that
