legal immigration is great
especially in the USA. We're all about foreign people uniting under one government to achieve liberty.
I mean the original defacto motto was 'out of many, one'
They just have to assimilate. By assimilate I mean not force their cultuee on others. I dont care if they bring it with them. To me, American culture is all about tolerating others liberty. Its very individualistic. Of course there are things like the national anthem. But I think the culture in general is set up to support an individual doing what they want in their life.
Just like the founding fathers intended, right?
stfu
what is the problem @Koninos?
Lmfao, wrong server.
lol
Yeah, I thought that was weird. Trees tend to agree with me
Though it is a little late to go back to that constitutional base, because we have so many non-whites and Liberals which would fight it.
Very true
Not all the founders wanted slavery to be abolished either. I think it's better to look at the benefits legal immigration had instead of just saying 'the founders wouldn't of wanted it like that'.
I'm not sure of the benefits post-1965
I dunno it lets us get more hard working people looking for a better life that they can only attain by working hard (or at least, that's how I think it should be.)
Also, about the founders, those acts do show a favor towards whites. But what about things like 'all men are created equal'? If they felt the need to specify 'white' in those acts, why not in the declaration of independence? the views of founders towards race seem complex.
You can consider people equals but wish them separate
Yeah, that makes sense.
There may have been Fouding Fathers who wanted to abolish slavery, but none of them wanted the Africans to stay
There was actually a government program back then to buy slaves and ship them back to Africa. I believe Monroe was the last president where that was a thing.
I see.
I think even just after slavery was abolished, it wouldn't make sense to send those slaves back to Africa. Many generations of them had lived in America at the time, making a separate culture than their African origins.
like how you can't release a jungle beast that was raised in captivity
It takes time to adjust, but they're still human and possess the potential to learn alot.
I agree that sending them back was/is wrong. John Jay's quote in one of the pics above is really the crux of all of this. The government and people of the United States were made for each other in that they are the same -- ethnically, religiously, etc. Whereas multiethnic societies tend to host several, several problems. Africans in the Americas had been separate for hundreds of years, they aren't African in the same sense those still there are.
And with that, a separate African state in the Americas is really the only solution which fits that philosophy.
what's wrong with Liberia
we could have sent them all instead of them volunteering
Do you think culture is linked with race?
what's wrong with not reorganizing society
this isn't an RTS game
begone jew
make me
or make anyone for that matter
we don't corrupt our society to suit such circumstances
this is pure larping
I think what I said will happen regardless if it's intentional or not
It's really what happened to any multi-ethnic empire or republic
You're right, but we should have exiled them all while we had the chance
