legal immigration is great

especially in the USA. We're all about foreign people uniting under one government to achieve liberty.

They just have to assimilate. By assimilate I mean not force their cultuee on others. I dont care if they bring it with them. To me, American culture is all about tolerating others liberty. Its very individualistic. Of course there are things like the national anthem. But I think the culture in general is set up to support an individual doing what they want in their life.

Not all the founders wanted slavery to be abolished either. I think it's better to look at the benefits legal immigration had instead of just saying 'the founders wouldn't of wanted it like that'.

I dunno it lets us get more hard working people looking for a better life that they can only attain by working hard (or at least, that's how I think it should be.)

Also, about the founders, those acts do show a favor towards whites. But what about things like 'all men are created equal'? If they felt the need to specify 'white' in those acts, why not in the declaration of independence? the views of founders towards race seem complex.

I think even just after slavery was abolished, it wouldn't make sense to send those slaves back to Africa. Many generations of them had lived in America at the time, making a separate culture than their African origins.

It takes time to adjust, but they're still human and possess the potential to learn alot.

I think problems in a republic with multi-ethnic people can only arise if people can't tolerate one another. Skin color doesn't determine anything in a person, culture does alot more.

I think they should have rights like citizens, they can benefit society the same.

Yeah I think they should have voting rights. I don't really see why they can't assimilate into society.

And have the rights that citizens have.

I think that people who immigrate here should be able to *become* citizens.

Depending on various factors of course, like where they're from.

But I don't think skin color should be considered. Moreso culture.
