So really the definition of a Liberal is a subjective one
As Liberal means you are in support of Liberty, freedom and Equality
And that's not the same for everyone.
Difficult to misuse a term that means basically anything the person using it wants it to mean.
If we are going to be really semantic then liberal isn't technically about equality, just freedom.
And the left want freedom from traditional constraint and morals
