It is highly possible that it is just making funny shapes with it's hands for a reward

2018-11-01 13:45:03 UTC

scary right

2018-11-01 13:45:21 UTC

You talking about koko?

2018-11-01 13:46:17 UTC

probs ye

2018-11-01 13:46:53 UTC

The issue really boils down to whether or not the gorilla really understands what it is doing

2018-11-01 13:47:04 UTC

Is this really a self aware gorilla?

2018-11-01 13:47:17 UTC

Or is it no different than a well trained dog?

2018-11-01 13:47:22 UTC

there is a possibility it does though

2018-11-01 13:47:28 UTC

yes

2018-11-01 13:47:28 UTC

if so, should it have human rights?

2018-11-01 13:47:35 UTC

It's not a human though

2018-11-01 13:47:44 UTC

but it thinks on the same level as a human

2018-11-01 13:48:04 UTC

If gorillas begin to become self aware we have a lot more issues to talk about

2018-11-01 14:12:56 UTC

they may be self aware etc. but thye exist as a seperate species from us. They would treat us very differently and do treat us very differently and as an invasive species. Gorillas can kill a human rip them to shreds with absolutely no repercussion and no remorse

2018-11-01 14:13:07 UTC

much like the rest of nature which is to some degree even self aware etc.

2018-11-01 14:13:25 UTC

they can all think but the way and plane of thinking is so different and it has absolutely no room for us

2018-11-01 14:41:38 UTC

Who would win a silverback gorilla or a brown bear? Serious question

2018-11-01 14:44:34 UTC
2018-11-01 14:47:35 UTC

Ah fuck

2018-11-01 14:47:53 UTC

In most cases the bear would

2018-11-01 15:00:03 UTC

depends on the environment

2018-11-01 15:00:40 UTC

whilst both of them can climb, in most situations the silverback could probably climb and make the bear come to it

2018-11-01 15:00:48 UTC

bruh a fucking monkey

2018-11-01 15:00:48 UTC

then knock it down

2018-11-01 15:00:51 UTC

do you know how heavier

2018-11-01 15:00:53 UTC

than a bear is

2018-11-01 15:00:55 UTC

a monkey

2018-11-01 15:01:11 UTC

takes more than the weight of a gorilla to take down a tree

2018-11-01 15:01:41 UTC

Bears are usually bigger

2018-11-01 15:01:46 UTC

i mean on 1 side

2018-11-01 15:01:48 UTC

the bear would also be alone, the gorilla would have more gorillas

2018-11-01 15:01:51 UTC

we got a paw as big as any human head

2018-11-01 15:01:51 UTC

no

2018-11-01 15:01:53 UTC

that can severe it

2018-11-01 15:01:56 UTC

on the other hand

2018-11-01 15:01:57 UTC

this is a one on one question

2018-11-01 15:02:01 UTC

a fucking 260 kg gorilla

2018-11-01 15:02:05 UTC

that can charge and break your bones

2018-11-01 15:02:20 UTC

@Swiss Cheese watch the video

2018-11-01 15:02:29 UTC

bears are bigger and heavier

2018-11-01 15:02:30 UTC

gorillas have a nasty bite
