oK, so Whig view of History is about examining History in a linear fashion. The other view is Cyclical History. West is basically at its highest point, or was and it would only decay further while Africa would develop

History in a linear fashion means that civilisations progress and become better over time
havent read much about politics, just kind of taught myself by looking at actual examples of systems in use

Well, the debate about progress is meaningless in cyclical view because there is no such thing as progress
and i disagree with cyclical history aswell

The only way to get better is to look at what worked and why and what didnt work and why
then to mix it with modern ideals that work
to try and find something better
