No it wasn't due to the version

2018-12-07 18:25:42 UTC

it was due to the ammunition

2018-12-07 18:26:38 UTC

The video puts these particular AR-15 and AK-47’s two smallest groups on par with each other. However, the AR-15 was shooting smaller groups than the AK-47 and the largest group out of the AR-15 was smaller than the largest group out of the AK-47. That gives the AR-15 better average accuracy than the AK-47. However the AR-15 used did not have a free float barrel. If this AR-15 had a free float barrel, it would have been much more accurate.

meanwhile the Ak still outpreforms in combat conditions

2018-12-07 18:27:41 UTC

and generally the issue of jamming is due to parts and how tight they are ie tolerance

2018-12-07 18:27:54 UTC

the AR deals with this by essentially trying to be waterproof

2018-12-07 18:28:01 UTC

How does it outperform in combat situations?

2018-12-07 18:28:09 UTC

Raw kills

2018-12-07 18:28:21 UTC

Correct me if I'm wrong, but

2018-12-07 18:28:31 UTC

I think the US military has a different combat philosophy

2018-12-07 18:28:33 UTC

the AK however clearly isnt, the new AK12 is for that reason mimicking the waterproof idea.

2018-12-07 18:28:37 UTC

and thats also true

2018-12-07 18:28:38 UTC

as in?

2018-12-07 18:28:38 UTC

a gun's job isn't really there to kill someone, per se

2018-12-07 18:28:42 UTC

RAW kills?

2018-12-07 18:28:46 UTC

wheres the stats for there

2018-12-07 18:28:48 UTC

It's there to take someone out of combat

2018-12-07 18:29:00 UTC

Which would explain the difference somewhat

2018-12-07 18:29:06 UTC

you can't compare raw kills because theres more AK's in circulation

2018-12-07 18:29:09 UTC

much more

2018-12-07 18:29:12 UTC

thats more the philophy of the cartrige itself.

2018-12-07 18:29:20 UTC

Nah Shen both are designed to kill

2018-12-07 18:29:32 UTC

Not really, theres more AKS in circulation

2018-12-07 18:29:34 UTC

much more

2018-12-07 18:29:36 UTC

so now I cant compare kills but when we do it with planes its okay?

2018-12-07 18:30:00 UTC

Because the most used guns are AKs

2018-12-07 18:30:06 UTC

and kill ratios are different with planes and guns

2018-12-07 18:30:10 UTC

air to air kills matter

2018-12-07 18:30:20 UTC

but with guns you could be shooting at civilians and getting that KD up

2018-12-07 18:30:34 UTC

Shieeeeet

2018-12-07 18:30:45 UTC

Some kid got a gun pulled on him just now

2018-12-07 18:31:00 UTC

There hasn't ever been a russian/soviet jet that has had a positive KD ratio

2018-12-07 18:31:15 UTC

then you look at American planes where every fighter jet has had a positive scorecard

2018-12-07 18:31:17 UTC

apart from one

2018-12-07 18:31:36 UTC

literally the Iran and Iraq war with Iranians using American F-14 Tomcats and Iraqis using some soviet planes

2018-12-07 18:31:40 UTC

same generation fighters

2018-12-07 18:31:45 UTC

@Doctor Anon Where do you live that this happens?

2018-12-07 18:32:10 UTC

>arabs
>winning wars

2018-12-07 18:32:15 UTC

The F-14 Tomcat has a KD of 135-4-4

2018-12-07 18:32:16 UTC

I dont think it matters what equipment they have

2018-12-07 18:32:17 UTC

135 air to air kills
