Stalingrad?
that might be it
anyways a lot surrendered cause of it
Wtf another barbarosa myth
The Soviet tanks were technically inferior, but there was a lot of them so it kind of neutralized the field
Stalingrad was caused due to Hitler moving the tank divisions down to the Caucasus to secure oil.
And thus the infantry didn't have tank support.
So they got encircled.
And then fucked.
i dont think the germans would of won even if they had coats to protect from the cold
Kind of like a Sparta vs Persia deal
not to say the soviets where good at war or what ever
it's just the circumstances where not good for germany
I think they could have, the German army was superior at the time, the main saving grace of the Soviets was the weather
they where under supplied
Artic cold also thwatedthe soviets
Stalingrad, November 22, 1942. Red Army trapped around 250k Germans on the Don River.
But in fact, the Germans were able to ward off the Soviet attacks during these incredibly low temperature days. On 6 December, in a record minus 38 degrees below zero, German 9th Army counter-attacked at Kalinin with heavy support from Panzergruppe 3 [Panzer Group 3, a tank army consisting of several corps] and pushed back Soviet 31st Army across River Volga again. In the process, Soviet 250th Rifle Division was completely routed and had to be withdrawn from combat.
Between 5 and 7 December, the German High Command reported that the Soviet attacks in general were warded off. “We failed during the first days,” admitted Zhukov, the most acclaimed Soviet military commander of the Second World War.
the main issues with the germans was lack of oil
@Злой и славянский u failed
That and the straight up Isis level dedication of the Soviet soldiers
didn't help italy was dog shit at war
the red army does not get enough credit though, they were an effective fighting force
the Spaniards had some good soldiers actually
An issue was also the blitz, the Germans didn't target our factories, but instead targeted the runways.
I feel like the Axis would have been better off without he Italians
And thus when the initial planes were destroyed, more could be made.
i know a lot of people think spain joining the war would of killed spain
but i think it would of turned the tide of the war honestly
In general, overconfidence and lack of planning was what screwed over he Germans in he Soviet Union
the blue division was really good at fighting plus one of the allies supply line would of been cut off
Tbh stalin suggested a surprise war in 1938 to the allies and asked for permission through poland
Poland refused
And so did the allies
sauce?
Poland is god tier country honestly
What if tgey had gone through and caught Germany in that scenatio?
i dont think germany would of been prepared
at all
same if the allies attacked germany through france while germany was invading poland imo
