Jeez could you imagine that. You’re local politician is doing a fine job and is the talk of the town when suddenly a video shows up about him fellating a horse.

2018-03-14 22:08:07 UTC
2018-03-14 22:08:08 UTC

yeah

2018-03-14 22:08:20 UTC

is anyone here an expert at digging up dirt ?

2018-03-14 22:08:30 UTC

I sometimes wonder how people find the things politicans get exposed with

2018-03-14 22:08:48 UTC

Ah-hah. Conor Lamb's predecessor, Murphy who served in his district for nearly twenty years and was a staunch opponent of abortion in Congress encouraged his mistress to have an abortion.

2018-03-14 22:08:56 UTC

I guess it boils down to someone who already knows about the dirt, anonymously leaking it to the press

2018-03-14 22:09:10 UTC

@[Lex] indeed, part of why Saccone lost today was that Lamb was a really strong candidate

2018-03-14 22:09:23 UTC

the Democrats won't have so many Conor Lambs for November

2018-03-14 22:09:32 UTC

Or they go to some obscure video website off in the deep net that has a rare video of this stuff

2018-03-14 22:09:52 UTC

that's why they can learn the wrong lessons and be overconfident, stretching themselves far too thin, trying to win too many races at once

2018-03-14 22:10:12 UTC

It's often a team effort into which significant financial resources are dumped. Hillary allocated MILLIONS of dollars into third-party organisations tasked with discovering dirt on Trump.

2018-03-14 22:10:30 UTC

Most of which was unsuccessful beyond "grab them by the pussy" and so forth.

2018-03-14 22:10:40 UTC

Not to mention the whole Steele doc situation

2018-03-14 22:10:45 UTC

^

2018-03-14 22:10:58 UTC

Though admittedly that was subsequent to his election.

2018-03-14 22:11:15 UTC

But indeed that was discovered by Clinton's operatives.

2018-03-14 22:11:48 UTC

Wasn’t most of the document proven false?

2018-03-14 22:12:42 UTC

It was demonstrated to be a significantly unreliable dossier and in some cases, demonstrably false.

2018-03-14 22:13:10 UTC

But some of the contents are simply UNPROVEN. But almost certainly inaccurate.

2018-03-14 22:13:33 UTC

Right, I wonder how many people still believe it because saying a British spy discovered it sounds really official an nonpartisan

2018-03-14 22:19:01 UTC
2018-03-14 22:19:12 UTC

the problem in PA18 was not turnout
it was turnover
a majority a Trump's voters in this district left their homes to vote
and they didn't vote for GOP this time

2018-03-14 22:19:44 UTC

you need to remember a majority of registered voters in PA18 are Democrats

2018-03-14 22:20:26 UTC

they abandoned Trump

2018-03-14 22:23:16 UTC

@🎃Boo-ton🎃 have you considered that they didn't 'abandon' Trump

2018-03-14 22:23:21 UTC

but just preferred Lamb to Saccone

2018-03-14 22:23:24 UTC

because of certain stances

2018-03-14 22:23:27 UTC

and character appeal

2018-03-14 22:23:42 UTC

and are still intending to vote for Trump again in 2020

2018-03-14 22:23:46 UTC

I agree with Red Storm.

2018-03-14 22:24:59 UTC

I have no reason to believe they won't vote Trump in 2020.

2018-03-14 22:25:14 UTC

Lamb is a great candidate, and some voters will think "Well, Lamb is basically a Republican, and he looks good, so I'll vote for him!"

2018-03-14 22:25:38 UTC

But this is undoubtedly a continuation of a significant leftward trend among voting patterns.

2018-03-14 22:25:43 UTC

Trump's approval in this district is 49-49

2018-03-14 22:26:14 UTC

some polls,

2018-03-14 22:26:14 UTC

It's all a matter of his approval being HIGHER than the next Democratic presidential candidate.

2018-03-14 22:26:26 UTC

should it be 53%, so there is that 3 point MOE

2018-03-14 22:27:03 UTC

If they run Oprah, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Bernie Sanders or most of the individuals on the ballot for 2020 they'll lose to Trump.

2018-03-14 22:27:17 UTC

It'll take a very unique, moderate, white candidate to successfully court this district.

2018-03-14 22:27:19 UTC

but there is no question, Trump's approval is weak in a lot of these White Working Class parts of the country that swung for him in 2016
