I’m just saying, if we do get to space, we need to build a space wall to keep the aliens out

2018-03-15 03:30:25 UTC

There may still be hope, people listen to a charismatic person who gets points across well.

2018-03-15 03:31:00 UTC

That's really what democracy is about, isn't it? Not appealing to the majority opinion but changing it to fit you.

2018-03-15 03:31:01 UTC

Can we all agree,

2018-03-15 03:31:09 UTC

If america did totally go to hell in a handbasket, what country would you escape to ?

2018-03-15 03:31:15 UTC

that if Democrats run Connor Lambs in every district,

2018-03-15 03:31:23 UTC

Austria or Poland

2018-03-15 03:31:25 UTC

they _will_ take the house

2018-03-15 03:31:49 UTC

Yeah, if the GOP is as lazy as Saccone was.

2018-03-15 03:31:55 UTC

Which is not a stretch.

2018-03-15 03:31:58 UTC

That could be a good or bad thing depending on how well those candidates keep their promises

2018-03-15 03:32:01 UTC

Here's the thing @FLanon

2018-03-15 03:32:13 UTC

Saccone was basically the generic GOP candidate

2018-03-15 03:32:18 UTC

@R E P T I L E I wouldn't escape. Not outside the US anyways, I'd live in isolation.

2018-03-15 03:32:32 UTC

If they do, than we basically have more Republicans

2018-03-15 03:32:35 UTC

Not complete isolation, but you know, amish

2018-03-15 03:32:40 UTC
2018-03-15 03:32:51 UTC

They most likely will vote party line

2018-03-15 03:33:30 UTC

Yeah you’re right, they’ll probably all turn around at once at completely betray their election promises

2018-03-15 03:34:15 UTC

Never count on these people, if Conor Lamb really was going against Pelosi, he'd switch parties the day he was sworn in.

2018-03-15 03:34:41 UTC

They hold the reins tight on DNC funds.

2018-03-15 03:34:56 UTC

Honestly can Pelosi just get out already

2018-03-15 03:35:22 UTC

Schumer is more my concern

2018-03-15 03:36:24 UTC

If we had someone there on the dem's side who was more prone to compromise and making deals with Trump, we might just have a wall.

2018-03-15 03:36:53 UTC

But the Dems care more about the immigrants than compromise.

2018-03-15 03:37:18 UTC

I also love when they pull the quote on the Statue of Liberty as some sort of proof of their cause

2018-03-15 03:37:49 UTC

Yeah, under current leadership and, the way things are going, future leadership because of the extreme leftward shift.

2018-03-15 03:38:05 UTC

Lamb will probably just end up being another Manchin, I bet.

2018-03-15 03:39:11 UTC

Can’t wait until 2020 when the next great meme war starts. This time the left won’t make the same mistakes though. I’m going to be a bit blackpill and say I don’t see the chances for a 2020 Trump presidency as very high.

2018-03-15 03:39:32 UTC

Although it would be hilarious to see the pure unadulterated rage if he does win

2018-03-15 03:39:46 UTC

If we manage something this year he will undoubtably win.

2018-03-15 03:39:53 UTC

If it's another 2002.

2018-03-15 03:40:50 UTC

I'm holding out for a miracle at this point, but I am just running on empty.

2018-03-15 03:42:29 UTC

I feel you. I know not to lose hope, but it can be hard not to at times. Sometimes I get weirdly sad whenever an old show from the 80’s comes on or when I view photos of Chicago from the 20’s on threads. I just think “how did it come to this”?

2018-03-15 03:43:45 UTC

Yeah. It feels like I'm going mad, sanity is just falling further and further.

2018-03-15 03:44:23 UTC

The world is just a husk, really. Culturally, socially, it all just seems fucked.

2018-03-15 03:44:44 UTC

But things like this discord and Gab make things feel a little bit better. Like I’m not alone in my thoughts. No matter how much the social media giants try

2018-03-15 03:45:23 UTC

The only thing I can think of that I think can maybe make things right is the law of nature: "each action has an equal and opposite reaction".

2018-03-15 03:45:30 UTC

Something's gotta give.

2018-03-15 03:46:26 UTC

And when it does, all hell is going to break loose. I used to think the whole civil war thing was a meme but I’m getting more and more certain it’s happening by the day

2018-03-15 03:48:36 UTC

I think we may have some caesearian candidate that will light the flame at some point, someone real awe inspiring. Maybe it's what we have in office now, maybe it's someone in a couple decades, but there will be someone that'll provide a catalyst.
