Yeah, it's too big to fix
Yeah, the funding for the Wall is insufficient due to its being bundled with overall border security funds.
If it were just $1.6B for a wall outright it would be OK
But it's $1.6B for everything
Hmm
I don't know much about the PA Gov race.
Ask him the Rep Steve King question
Re-upping. The big Ryanesque spending bill isn't as bad as I thought last night. It's worse. Forbids hiring more ICE agents. Limits detention beds, making "catch & release" more likely. Call 202 456-1111 if you want to urge Trump to veto
Make sure to advise the candidate on how to campaign, how Saccone lost, etc
Perhaps ask if he intends to rally potential Amish voters
Saccone was a lazy candidate that was anti union in Pennsylvania. I dont know why the party put up such a bad candidate
@Den yeah, emphasize the fact that Saccone ignored our advice and LOST
that's the most important thing...oh, and TELL HIM TO TELL EVERY OTHER R POLITICIAN HE KNOWS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT CAMPAIGN LIKE SACCONE
The issue is the Rs don't flood the fields where they should
They should've had a good electable candidate over in IL-3, we got a neo-nazi.
@🎃Boo-ton🎃 Even worse, it actually influences America's foreign policy in a negative direction with regard to Russia; not a single Nay from the Democrats!
so basically
1. Talk about how Saccone ignored our advice and lost, then emphasize that he shouldn't do it that way, and that he should tell all the other GOP politicians he knows to NOT campaign that way
2. The 'Steve King' question (not sure what this is
3. Rallying Amish voters
4. the importance of Immigration as an issue to GOP voters
These people are so stupid
Target abortion actually
The Steve King question is "Can you restore your civilization with someone else's babies?" Their answer to that lets you know if they actually want to put America First.
They should run on a balanced budget amendment to be honest
This is what got a lot of the current members of congress elected on the anti-obama wave in 2010, balancing the budget, stopping the national debt.
IMO other than job creation and to a lesser extent budgetary balance, Republicans should stay silent on the state level.
Social issues take a higher precedent, especially when they can integrate with economic issues.
For instance, "Balance the budget by cutting abortion funding!" is actually going to be effective.
Abortion shouldn't be overemphasized, but really, to me, immigration isn't really a state issue, even though it can be effective as John Bel Edwards proved in Louisiana.
Yeah, but these omnibus bills where they capitulate on everything don't help them
If you can incorporate it, do that. But you usually can't.
For "conservatives" they sure are making a ton of concessions.
Yeah, the budget bill is just bull.
It's basically "Let's fund abortion to increase the deficit!"
If you want to compromise on economic policy, do it by encouraging families and children.
Call your reps
This thread by the randlet sums it up pretty well:

Yeah, this bill is awful.
Why the fuck are we spending money to destroy weapons
Yeah yeah "muh human rights" but the fuck
We're taking away our own arms stockpile at the cost of the taxpayer
