@🎃Boo-ton🎃 did you hear about the dems having a hissy fit over the 2020 census asking if people were citizens

2018-03-27 16:53:08 UTC

Indeed

2018-03-27 16:53:30 UTC

My state's AG has filed a lawsuit because of it

2018-03-27 16:55:01 UTC

Yeah pretty much every dem representing CA is going crazy over this census

2018-03-27 16:55:45 UTC

If it were not that they might have a chance of doing something I would be spending my time laughing at them

2018-03-27 16:59:30 UTC

SCOTUS is still discussing the Cake Mastershop case right?

2018-03-27 16:59:58 UTC

yep

2018-03-27 17:00:21 UTC

Damn

2018-03-27 17:00:32 UTC

That's both scary and relieving

2018-03-27 17:00:39 UTC

Does the House have any say over picking anyone to the Judiciary or is it just the Senate?

2018-03-27 17:00:40 UTC

It's amazing how much the Supreme Court has become like a gameshow

2018-03-27 17:00:51 UTC

"Who's going to die next?"

2018-03-27 17:00:56 UTC

Lol really

2018-03-27 17:01:13 UTC

it's the times

2018-03-27 17:01:22 UTC

everything is political now

2018-03-27 17:01:48 UTC

@FLanon I don't think the Senate picks the judiciary, it's a Senate tradition though that you get the president gets the senator's approval from the state the justice is being appointed from.

2018-03-27 17:02:04 UTC

It's not a rule, more of just a tradition.

2018-03-27 17:02:23 UTC

I dunno if it's both senators or just the senior senator

2018-03-27 17:02:46 UTC

alright, so the House has no say whatsoever then?

2018-03-27 17:02:52 UTC

right

2018-03-27 17:03:08 UTC

this puts some things into perspective

2018-03-27 17:03:10 UTC

priorities

2018-03-27 17:03:21 UTC

fortunately,

2018-03-27 17:03:26 UTC

based on the Senate map this year,

2018-03-27 17:03:40 UTC

Not really, that's how it should be, they're different branches of government. It made sense before senators were chosen by direct election

2018-03-27 17:03:41 UTC

it will be literally impossible for Democrats to take the Senate

2018-03-27 17:03:48 UTC

But now yeah, it makes little sense

2018-03-27 17:04:28 UTC

Well, then we must focus on really hitting out of the park in the senate then.

2018-03-27 17:05:13 UTC

2020 senate is looking pretty solid, too.

2018-03-27 17:05:34 UTC

It's more atomized than in the House, I severely doubt they can get the impeachment process completed

2018-03-27 17:05:57 UTC

Even if they dont

2018-03-27 17:05:58 UTC

And it could cause a Bill Clinton effect in 2020

2018-03-27 17:05:58 UTC

I'm still leaning to believe that Trump will be impeached

2018-03-27 17:06:04 UTC

^

2018-03-27 17:06:08 UTC

Losing the house would screw us

2018-03-27 17:06:09 UTC

This is what I was thinking

2018-03-27 17:06:43 UTC

2020 House and Senate Races could be Republican waves

2018-03-27 17:06:49 UTC

I believe the House is too fluid for us to effectively have control over, the Senate may be where we should put our resources towards.

2018-03-27 17:06:53 UTC

if Trump is impeached in 2019

2018-03-27 17:07:06 UTC

We've controlled the House since 2010

2018-03-27 17:07:10 UTC

The House will depend on Trump's and the GOP's actions.
