I was hoping Trump would do something like a fireside chat,

Well he kinda does

with twitter

where he would just talk to Americans for about a hour explaining why he wants to get his policies through

I don't think this would work for Twitter

Im pretty sure that would raise his approval rating

"Look,

I know I was divisive during the campaign trail"

"but I want to bring the country together"

"I know we disagree on a lot of issues"

"But if you care about your country, we should be able to all agree,

We need to do something about all the drugs that are coming into the country and killing all our good men and women,

I know you might not like me very much,

but that's okay, it's not about me, it's never been about me,

this is about what's right for our country and I'm hoping I can have your back on this"

I think it would have been really effective for Trump to do this
