They were one of the OG parties when Germany lost WWI and they got their worst election result since Hitler last year, and now they've been beaten by a party that is barely half a decade old.
What are the chances CSU breaks away from CDU and forms a coalition with AfD in the next election
It depends if the migrant crisis worsens
I hear the SPD is voting internally on whether or not to partner with CDU-CSU
If they don't, Merkel's fucked
If the coalition fails they’ll have to hold another election, and the SPD is absolutely fucked
I mean, Merkel may have to step down if that happens, she'll either do that or have to go through 4 excruciating years of legislative gridlock in a minority parliament which could have the AfD be the winning party
Then the only other options are the Jamaica coalition (dead on arrival) or a reluctant coalition with AfD
Merkel appointed a successor today, the so-called “mini Merkel”
CDU is spiraling
I think eventually they may have to do what the ÖVP did in Austria and pick someone who would appeal to that crowd instead of a conservacuck
The ÖVP was basically just "CDU but in Austria" and then Strache came along, I think that same thing could very well happen in Germany.
In any case, Godspeed to them.
Haha
Pathetic
as was expected
>LATimes
they're the only outlet that showed Trump leading in the polls in 2016
uh huh
alright note to self: eradicate all the Mexicans in Texas before the end of the decade or America is going to collapse into a nuclear hellscape
