The most recent study came from 5 years ago, pointing that there may be a causal link between aluminum administered via vaccines and autism. The reason that their conclusion say that it may be so, is due to the absence of an inert placebo control group. In other words, if such a study is performed again, but with the presence of a placebo control group (double blind), it will either show the causal link or debunk that link.
