what my 3d modelling does show, is that on a flat plane, unless something coming is coming from the plane, you cannot obscure an object halfway

if you take a ship and watch it go over the horizon with the naked eye
its gone over the horizon, surely
you can zoom in and it will appear again
if you zoom in slowly it will seem to rise up from the horizon
that isn't what my model shows though
its all flat, but perspective is causing you to miss part of the boat

what i would suggest is do more research, if you actually care about the shape of the earth its best if you do the research

you say that its every 100 feet and its 500 feet long
