if you view of the ship to a hotel window, you would see the entire ship because your angle has changed just like if you rised your view to see the whole coin

2018-09-22 14:08:37 UTC

I just want to ask, so I understand:
if we say the table is the flat earth
and the coin is the ship

2018-09-22 14:08:48 UTC

@Citizen Z You requested that someone made a simulation of how light works for you.. I just did that for how I think you think it works, could you please answer whether or not it is?

2018-09-22 14:08:53 UTC

On the flat earth, how do you take a picture?

2018-09-22 14:09:04 UTC

Is the camera in the ground?

2018-09-22 14:09:06 UTC

Or is it above the ground

2018-09-22 14:09:09 UTC

simple question

2018-09-22 14:09:15 UTC

you are on flat earth, you can take a picture whereever you are

2018-09-22 14:09:23 UTC

cellphone/camera

2018-09-22 14:09:47 UTC

Yep yep. But when you take a picture, do you hold the camera infront of you, or put the camera in the ground?

2018-09-22 14:10:10 UTC

your perspective varies depending on how tall you are and where you hold the camera

2018-09-22 14:10:45 UTC

so the camera is not like this, Kevin?

2018-09-22 14:10:59 UTC

you can hold the camera from the ground or 6 feet off the ground, you'll see less from the ground and more 6 feet off the ground

2018-09-22 14:11:10 UTC

That's not an answer to my question

2018-09-22 14:11:11 UTC

yes or no

2018-09-22 14:11:11 UTC

and if you are in a hotel room lets say on the 3rd floor, you will see more

2018-09-22 14:11:23 UTC

you're on the beach

2018-09-22 14:11:26 UTC

and want to photo the horizon

2018-09-22 14:11:26 UTC

its an example of a video you refuse to watch

2018-09-22 14:11:33 UTC

its a model

2018-09-22 14:11:33 UTC

I've watched it

2018-09-22 14:11:45 UTC

the entire video you watched where it talked about optics

2018-09-22 14:11:52 UTC

Exactly. But it doesn't apply when the camera is **above the ground**

2018-09-22 14:13:41 UTC

when its talking about the first parts of the video of view distance, that applies regardless of where you look at it from

2018-09-22 14:13:54 UTC

you can only see so far and stuff gets smaller the further out it is

2018-09-22 14:14:02 UTC

of course

2018-09-22 14:14:09 UTC

but we have a zoom lens *:v*

2018-09-22 14:14:35 UTC

so perspective says a ships bottom is under the horizon

2018-09-22 14:14:41 UTC

but if you zoom in you can see the entire ship

2018-09-22 14:14:46 UTC

No?

2018-09-22 14:14:52 UTC

its not blocked

2018-09-22 14:15:04 UTC

There is no way a ship can be under the horizon if the camera is above the horizon

2018-09-22 14:15:32 UTC

asking me or him?

2018-09-22 14:15:34 UTC

you can have the entire ship disappear over the horizon, none of it visible, then pull it back into view with zoom

2018-09-22 14:15:40 UTC

false

2018-09-22 14:15:50 UTC

your eye can't see it because of perspective

2018-09-22 14:15:53 UTC

there are videos online where you can see that

2018-09-22 14:15:53 UTC

but a camera can

2018-09-22 14:15:55 UTC

once the camera can't
