east is perpendicular to north

and that's the direction i'm always going

becuase i cant look at the sunrise east at the equator and look east at the latitude line

so if i do this at 20 deg N, the compass wouldn't read east?

i cant say for certain but im pretty sure it wouldnt

the sun isn't on the surface of teh earth though, so the question doesn't make much sense

well if north is always towards the north pole, and east is 90 deg clockwise from taht

then the lines you have drawn in that image aren't along an eastward path

they START pointing that way, but then they turn

you have to imagine that the sun is really far out

and the size of teh earth is negligible compared to that distance

ive seen sly sparkanes fake earth and sun and ive seen jeranism do it on google earth

the google earth one made more sense to me
