do you know how a compass works?

how can east be 2 different directions

i'ts not

it's perpendicular to north

which is at the north pole, pretty much

if i look east at the sunrise on an equinox im not following a line of latitude

you're looking parallel to a line of latitude

the sun isn't on the surface of teh earth though, so the question doesn't make much sense

well if north is always towards the north pole, and east is 90 deg clockwise from taht

then the lines you have drawn in that image aren't along an eastward path

they START pointing that way, but then they turn

you have to imagine that the sun is really far out

and the size of teh earth is negligible compared to that distance

ive seen sly sparkanes fake earth and sun and ive seen jeranism do it on google earth
