this reg said that the sun is small and very low to the earth
so it seems like there is a sunset?
what
so because we cant measure it we dont factor it in
Yes, because you can't factor something in until has been measurably quantified.
also if it is small and low howcome we cant see the sun
sounds like good science
when its night for us
lol
I tend to avoid sky related phenomena when talking about the shape of the earth, like the sun, they are two different things
But as a matter of curiosity, how could a sunset work on a flat earth?
the sun is becuase of perspective and becuase the globe model has people thinking u can see forever
yeah but the things we see now about the sun can work on a flat earth
Other than the sun going under the earth
let me find the sunset video
no doesnt wor like that hang on
would u agree that when u look out into the distance u are looking through atmosphere which has water in it and water magnifies things ?
i think we can all agree on that no ?
no
we are looking through atmosphere ?
what do u mean by magnify things
water magnifyiong things is the only part u disagree with ?
i just want to understand
have u ever seen a fire started with water
I would need evidence that the atmosphere magnifies the celestial objects in any way and by how much
also how is that a factor to sunsets
it factors in
Probably that Rob Skiba video
i would show u how it works but u dont think water magnifys things or waters int he atmosphere idk
ok you seen it
so waht u arent buyin it?
which part though
Uses a fresnel lens placed between the observer and something. No evidence given that the atmosphere behaves like that all.
And that photo evidence Skiba gave doesn't take into account telephoto lens distortion which can alter the apparent sizes of these distant objects
the more layers of atmosphere the more water u are lookin through the more water the more magnification
so how does it look like there is a sunset on a flat earth
idk looked legit to me
No, that is not how magnification works. Looking through more atmosphere doesn't recreate a fresnel lens
@Alexandre Supposedly, light bends because the atmosphere is like a lens, and so it appears to set, like this,
Rising in this scenario
