Bush wasn't good, (started a load of wars, restricted freedoms after 9/11) but he's not Trump so lefties look at him a bit kinder than they should.
Bush was a man that said some dumb things while waging war, Trump has said dumber things while locking kids up in cages. Both bad, but Bush is looked upon more fondly than he should be simply by not being Trump.
