I am sorry to tell you this Louis, but American manufactory jobs like we saw in the first half of the 1900s isn't coming back in any meaningful way. Physical factories may come back to the us but it will mostly be automated and very few jobs there.

Same with coal, the world has moved on

But US coal mining however might not be competitive

Natural gas is becoming a huge player

And by huge I mean 4x as big as coal

Surely it's a stopgap till renewables?

In terms of number of plants

There are more jobs in the making solar cells then in mining coal
