Is YouTube removing some videos censorship?
It’s entirely within their rights to remove videos that go against their content policy
There are plenty of other sites you can find violent rhetoric etc
I wouldn't call it censorship, the message can be uploaded on Vimeo and stuff
Have you looked at liveleak recently
@xXPuppyLoverXx Yes it is within their rights. That is why we need IBOR. The Internet Bill of Rights.
It's a private company telling you to go away, not a country arresting you for thought crime
They are under no obligation to host your content
@The Gwench would the IBOR allow Isis videos and videos promoting shakeria law?
If you ban sites deleting videos you end up with a very big problem
Since that goes completely against a lot of copyright law
I could pirate a film, host it on YouTube and they wouldn’t be allowed to delete it
@I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS Regrettably, this would still not fix the problem with terrorist propaganda.
Nice dodge
You couldn't possibly remove it if there was an IBOR
By al means, force ISPs to treat all traffic equally but forcing websites to treat all hosted content equally just isn’t practical
@xXPuppyLoverXx The Internet bill of rights is about freedom of your own speech...not someone else’s.

But if it applies to all people everyone would be able to post anything
YouTube is censoring opinions
They take down videos talking against Islam cause it is not advertiser friendly
And yeah they are in their right to do that
However they've started demonitising that kinda vids which I think is fair
A website deleting your video isn’t a freedom of speech problem
A government arresting you for posting your video is
Just because you have the right to say something doesn’t mean everyone is forced to listen to you
So the IBOR is for a few select people?
Otherwise it would allow Isis vids
@I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS The IBOR would allow ISIS videos.
Relevant xkcd as always
It's not freedoms of speech problem but it is censorship and it's within their right to do that tbh
However, there could be ways around the ISIS videos if they are found to incite violence.
Which is the current system
Eh you can find snuff with a few clicks what's your point
The IBOR would be useless as nothing would change
There’d just be a ton more porn on youtube

However, people that have pro-trump views are being censored. Without having committed any incitement of hatred or violence.
Everyone protrump is being censored?
Are they being purged from the internet by the government? Or do sites just not want that stuff on their site
I can find YouTubers who actively support trump and still have their platform
If I was running a website and some fuckwit started going on about how trump is the messiah then id probably remove it, that’s not censorship though
@Satan The censorship is in the form of shadowbanning. You need to know specifically who or what you are looking for.
