@zoomerking17💊 a major problem with KJV is most copies don't have the Deuterocanon from the Old Testament. In general different Bible translations will basically convey the same message but some are more prone to error than others. I would advise getting a translation that has been approved by the Catholic church because then even if you aren't Catholic you know the translation has been scoured for errors by people who have dedicated their life to Christ as opposed to a council of university Biblical scholars who might not even be Christian themselves. If you like the whole trad style thee thou kind of talk go for Douay-Rheims.

Another general rule of thumb for checking if a Bible translation is good is to check if the translators use masculine or neutral pronouns when referring to God. While it is true that God transcends gender, he has always been personified with masculine characteristics (with the exception of the concept of the divine presence of God which is characterized in the feminine form and is known as the schekhinah in rabbinic literature).

This is pretty expensive but not only does it have both the old & new testament but has annotations, references and a historical and chronological index which most of the others dont have.. but that's probs why the price is bumped up
