flat earth model works
oh please avoid that kind of talking with me
I'm not fond of empty claims
you have the sun that is 93,000,000 miles away
that only works if you assume we live on a globe
not really
do you know how scientific measures work?
it doesn't have to be at 90.000.000 miles away
if you don't assume that, the pythagorean calculation comes out to 3,400 miles away
that is an _approximation_
that's how scientific measures work
you put a bunch of people at different parts on the map and draw a straight line
That calculation of 3,400 miles works only if you have fewer than three observation points.
to where the sun is in the sky
Try it with three, I dare you.
it doesn't matter how many observation points
you can have 20
It does. Try it.
I'm not running around doing experiments
you have flat earthers who have already done i
Or, since you say it still works, 20?
I'll track down and videos
The first video uses one observer, so it's completely flat-out wrong about the whole idea. The second video only uses two observers, so it is again inaccurate.
The reason is that two points can define a line, but you need three to define a plane and four to define space.
your math is wrong
1,2,5
your in geometry class and they are doing other type of math dealing with cosines, tangents, etc
That's geometry.
Trigonometry is a subsection of geometry.
well trig isn't geometry
It's a branch of geometry.
Read the actual page you took that quote from.
ur trying to say what they are doing is invalid with bad defintions
just because of your lack of the math doesn't invalidate it
No, I'm saying it's inconclusive, since only one or two points are used.
it works with trig
