Doctrine is a fall back if you canā€™t come up with anything better.

2020-04-30 05:05:49 UTC

Thatā€™s one of my favorite phrases, and itā€™s fairly universal

2020-04-30 05:07:23 UTC

I suppose thatā€™s true.

2020-04-30 05:09:11 UTC

Also when you have people who are too used to operating within certain doctrine it can be a hinderance at some point.

2020-04-30 05:11:20 UTC

Iā€™m gonna be honest I probably do need training but I donā€™t know where to get it.

2020-04-30 05:12:01 UTC

Take a local stop the bleed to start

2020-04-30 05:15:04 UTC

Nowhere to take that to my knowledge

2020-04-30 05:16:35 UTC

Iā€™m sure thereā€™s one in St. Louis occasionally

2020-04-30 05:16:54 UTC

Maybe

2020-04-30 05:17:45 UTC

Asked a friend of mine if I could stick him with an IV and got

2020-04-30 05:17:47 UTC

FUCK NO

2020-04-30 05:21:08 UTC

Lol

2020-04-30 05:21:28 UTC

Iā€™ve had black out drunk dudes push saline on me to sober us up

2020-04-30 05:21:49 UTC

Imma find one of my friends to stick

2020-04-30 05:21:53 UTC

Donā€™t worry

2020-04-30 05:22:28 UTC

<a:peepoGiggles:650343252934918164> glad I know how to do that already

2020-04-30 05:23:21 UTC

CLS qualed marines are better at IVs/blood draw than nurses who call themselves heroes

2020-04-30 05:23:33 UTC

Legit

2020-04-30 05:23:37 UTC

Iā€™ve heard stories

2020-04-30 05:23:42 UTC

Nurses missing like 13 times

2020-04-30 05:23:55 UTC

Seems like that's far too common

2020-04-30 05:23:58 UTC

Yeah. Most people suck at their job, nurses arenā€™t an exception

2020-04-30 05:25:52 UTC

Okay, Iā€™m going to be honest, the emt-b is a joke. But itā€™s a start.

2020-04-30 05:26:49 UTC

My buddy found a two week course, and I did a six week course at fort Sam Houston and that was crazy enough. Look for a minimum eight weeks, but itā€™s a start.

2020-04-30 05:27:22 UTC

A nice foundation for understanding medical guidelines, and a start, albeit it a weak one, towards saving lives.

2020-04-30 05:27:51 UTC

I have contact with an 18D so thatā€™s a start eh?

2020-04-30 05:28:30 UTC

No, thereā€™s a massive difference. 18D are amazing resources, truly. But you need hands on training.

2020-04-30 05:28:44 UTC

Thatā€™s true.

2020-04-30 05:28:52 UTC

I mainly meant the 18D to supplement knowledge.

2020-04-30 05:29:28 UTC

I 100 percent recommend emt-b courses. Youā€™ll get so much more out of your contact with a treating understanding, just from the nuances you may have missed.

2020-04-30 05:29:57 UTC

I just...itā€™s hard to get training at my age.

2020-04-30 05:32:03 UTC

Lies.

2020-04-30 05:32:13 UTC

Community colleges offer training for all men and women.

2020-04-30 05:32:26 UTC

Well....

2020-04-30 05:32:31 UTC

Yeah..

2020-04-30 05:32:41 UTC

ah fuck

2020-04-30 05:32:47 UTC

Whatā€™s the thing used to test percussive resonance or whatever on a possible collapsed lung called?

2020-04-30 05:33:10 UTC

I donā€™t even fucking know. Every single medical profession Iā€™ve ever asked had the same answer.

2020-04-30 05:33:17 UTC

ā€œYouā€™ll know it when you hear itā€

2020-04-30 05:33:32 UTC

Someone told me itā€™s the thing they test your knee with. The weird triangle hammer

2020-04-30 05:33:37 UTC

Stethoscope?
