I don’t know of any central hubs that we could use that are straight medical.
We can always create that.
I guess what we could do is kind of organize a network. Or a framework really
The worst part is there's no real way to identify. Or we don't want to do it on a public server.
Discussions that need to happen in private and/or on voice.
Keybase is a possible solution.
Go through Discord on a main server, and those who we see are useful and contribute, we PM and get on KB.
Never used or heard of it before. But I'm down for it.
Ooh zoomer you went all blue
I guess i should get go and get a medic tag
Can I get a liability tag instead of a medic tag?
Lol
Anything is possible
I just want society to collapse so I can say I'm a doctor
@Thorne It’s an end to end encrypted platform.
Secure.
> Initially taking a care point and command would be important. I cant take any of this seriously unless there's a full thought plan.
@Thorne no, you are right. Sorry everyone else but he is absolutely right
Y'all keep only thinking combat injuries but
E. Coli
Half of y'all wouldn't even live through the summer
> E. Coli
@Catman yes
Water and food contanimation
I'm taking the initiative to start a prolonged field care and disease prevention thread. You're no good at any level if you're ridden with disease and your feet are fucked up lol
Foot powder is a huge game changer in the rain.
Faacctss
Also permethrin and appropriate field wear
I learned the hard way that open cell foam inside boots sucks ass after it gets soaked.
Ooofff
Hey all, on the subject, let's talk about medical emergencies. Not every medical emergency requires hospitalization and in the field many can even be stabilized. Does anybody have any prior knowledge on this subject?

@RaginMedic23
@Catman Knows about infections.
I can get by

@RaginMedic23
I don’t just focus on combat injuries. Preventative medicine, typical diseases, viruses, and the like are also something I’m interested in learning about.
I keep Amoxicillin and I’m gonna work on sourcing other meds related.
And yes, field stabilization is a thing. Correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t you stabilize a casualty with TXA for a while as long as HEMCON is maintained and be able to wait a good while until EVAC?

@RaginMedic23
I’m fine with learning about infections and the like. One damn thing people seem to overlook is preventing that shit from ever happening. Change socks every single time they get wet, maintain proper hygiene.
Facts. I'm going to pitch adding a new channel. But the information comes from links with credible sources only
AMEDD, JEMS, ETC
Pushing anti-biotics can easily kill people so be careful
How about we make a separate medical server where we can all post evidence based medicine and discuss it all?
And then publish findings that would be useful?
