It’s a ~$700 difference at least.
Though it only costs one weeks work instead of 4 weeks, yeah
The rest of the money will be spent training. There's a guy in my state who's a retired sniper and owns a mile long range.
A precision rifle class with them costs $300
Super jealous
That’s cheap as hell
Also don’t forget to torque your scope rings down properly.
~17 inch pounds should hold it.
@Crye_Salesman curious on your opinion. I know it's a budget option but is it a poor choice? For context, I only bring in around 400 a week.
I’ve got a failure to fire every 3-4 rounds.
Switched out BCGs and still an issue. Could it be a light hammer strike?
What kind of failure?
Is it not cycling or not firing at all?
Make sure your hammer spring isn't installed backward if it's not firing at all.
Anyone hace recommendations on ammo for our type of self defense?
556, in a 16" barrel, run fmj? Hollow? Green tip?
75gr boat tail hollow point if your twist rate supports it
Or 77, anywhere around there
Also open tip match.
The main reason being that 75-77 grain 5.56 bullets fragment incredibly well even at low velocity. They're devastating
Hmm, ill have to see if I can find any
Heaviest I got is 62, but most places have very limited stock lol
You'll want to read this
http://www.ar15.com/ammo/project/self_defense_ammo_FAQ/
Most of it is from a dude with a doctorate
Cause I knwere I can get those for sure, anything heavier I haven't seen on the shelf
Most stores only carry cheap 55gr plinking ammo and green tip. I'd probably suggest buying either online or at a local business if you can. A lot of online ammo stores have free shipping on the first purchase.
Commiefornia can't buy online 🥺
Oooh that complicates things
Very lol
And let alone the shortage out here lol
In that case I'd say save up for a large amount of ammo, drive to the nearest free state, and stock up there
I dont think I will, thats illegal and I wouldn't want to get in trouble 🙃 so hard no, as an unjust law abiding citizen
I think there's a few shops near the border in Nevada. I'd build one there if I were a store owner lol.
Heard Arizona and Nevada are nice this time around tho!
You might be able to pick up a few totally legal 10 round 458 socom pmags
I bought a few 30pmags that are converted to 10 round (makes them California legal) 1 rivet is all it takes to make it legal
A uhaul might also be good if possible
Happens every 2-3 rounds.
Ah light strikes
I’m guessing trigger
I tested 3 BCGs
Yeah make sure your hammer spring isn't backward, that's the number one cause, and surprisingly easy to mess up.
I bought the rifle off armslist. It was a safe queen and the dude installed an aftermarket trigger.
