m193 from a 18 or 20 in bbl 👌

2020-05-10 17:42:18 UTC

Slightly better than green tip

2020-05-10 17:42:35 UTC

Yes in those barrels it’s good

2020-05-10 17:42:59 UTC

I’ve seen people suggest running it in their 10.5 and it’s effective up to like 80 yards or something

2020-05-10 17:46:29 UTC

Typically it's best to run heavier stuff because it has more mass to fragment and they're longer, leading to a better ballistic coefficient and longer effective range. Though for home defense the latter part isn't really an issue

2020-05-10 17:48:08 UTC

Honestly for home defense, you may want a non barrier blind load as it'll be less likely to put holes in your neighbor's house

2020-05-10 17:51:40 UTC

Any of yall have tips for carrying an extra rifle on ya but have a large backpaxk on?

2020-05-10 17:52:47 UTC

Like concealed or just normal carry?

2020-05-10 17:52:58 UTC

Normal

2020-05-10 17:53:25 UTC

My issue is having a rifle in hand, and a large backpack, so trying to carry the extra rifle

2020-05-10 17:53:43 UTC

Also assume wearing plates and pouches

2020-05-10 17:54:02 UTC

I guess a two point sling with a quick adjuster like the blueforce gear sling. Keep it at the tight setting while slung at your chest, then grab the handle and yank it out when you need to shoulder it

2020-05-10 17:54:44 UTC

I won't need quick access to it, ill look into it, I have a sling coming in that might work for it

2020-05-10 17:56:32 UTC

Some backpacks are made to carry a rifle straight up and down on the side of it, but I don't really do anything where I would have my rifle stowed somewhere I can't quickly access

@Artemis ALG Defense ACT

2020-05-10 17:57:59 UTC

Could it be the buffer?

2020-05-10 17:58:46 UTC

Huh that's a good budget trigger, shouldn't give you problems. Sometimes it can be a light buffer but it's almost always something else

2020-05-10 17:59:49 UTC

That doesn't look like an ALG hammer spring though

2020-05-10 18:00:24 UTC

ALG hammer springs are either dark gray steel or purple for the reduced power ones

2020-05-10 18:05:40 UTC

It might not be. It was a BCM I bought about 2 months ago for 850.

2020-05-10 18:05:55 UTC

The description said it has an ALG trigger.

2020-05-10 18:39:17 UTC

Areo precision, decent equipment? I have an opportunity to be a dealer for them

2020-05-10 19:03:08 UTC

Aero is good

2020-05-10 19:15:25 UTC

I’ve got the Aero 10 and a Yeet canon stripper lower.

2020-05-10 19:15:53 UTC

Good quality? In spec so to speak? No blemishes etc

2020-05-10 19:23:01 UTC

No blemishes. I haven’t done any measurements or anything. I’m gonna take it to my FFL down the street who’s a gunsmith. Have him look at it before i do anything with it.

2020-05-10 19:23:39 UTC

Aero apparently is the best budget option available on the market. The Aero 10 is amazing.

2020-05-10 19:25:01 UTC

I got a PSA upper months ago to stick on my binary lower. That shit some blemishes. One of them was marked off by a sharpie. 😂😂😂

2020-05-10 19:32:26 UTC

Aero is kinda like if psa was serviceable. The best bang for your buck, and respected by the community. Apparently thunder ranch even has a class where you build an aero ar and take the class with it.

2020-05-10 19:34:15 UTC

Their M5 series is what people use almost exclusively for ar10 builds these days. You'll see people in competition running aero precision 308 receivers with stupid expensive barrels like compass lake engineering

2020-05-10 19:34:49 UTC

Good to know, I'm gonna work on developing that relationship with Aero

2020-05-10 19:34:53 UTC

Thanks guys

2020-05-10 19:36:38 UTC

They're also about to come out with an affordable ar9 with last round bolt hold open

2020-05-10 19:37:07 UTC

Good!

2020-05-10 19:37:22 UTC

PDWs are very popular

2020-05-10 19:43:59 UTC

aero is a good balance of cheap and actually to spec, so it will sell easily and you won’t be fucking people buy selling them bad stuff

2020-05-10 19:44:19 UTC

@Artemis I don’t know anything about that optic in particular, but at least cortex is a reputable company

2020-05-10 19:44:31 UTC

@Crye_Salesman my main concern, I wanted entry level.with reliability

2020-05-10 19:45:55 UTC

Aero is a great place to start. Actually I think I have an idea for you. Have a package deal with aero parts and a short class on how to build an ar

2020-05-10 19:46:24 UTC

Personally, if I was going to sell parts like that, I’d do my own QC too

2020-05-10 19:46:29 UTC

We are too small to offer classes now, however was my goal to start something like that in the next 36 months
