I’ve got some roll up SSE bags, I don’t remember from who. Pockets are a real thing too

2020-05-19 00:51:05 UTC

Some of my rifles I just run irons on them and some i have optics and backup irons just incase my optic get damaged. My Vz58 is just plain irons and i have spent so much time with that rifle that even out to 400 500 yards i can put rounds on target

2020-05-19 00:51:46 UTC

It took me a while to get used to optics because I spent my entire childhood on irons, but once I finally did, I was much faster with optics

2020-05-19 00:52:54 UTC

I agree a good optic sight beats irons but if you are capable enough with irons that's not a problem in a way and it's one less thing to worry about

2020-05-19 00:53:43 UTC

Okay except, there are things you can do with dots and lpvo’s that you can not do with irons. Fact. Optics give you capabilities that irons do not.

2020-05-19 00:53:55 UTC

Yep I agre

2020-05-19 00:54:28 UTC

I need more practice time with lpvo's. I love red dots because I don't have to worry about my head being in the right spot to avoid scope shadow. Thankfully my accupoint has an extremely generous eye relief

2020-05-19 00:55:04 UTC

really too generous in some ways. I got in the habit of going nose to charging handle but you can't see through an accupoint if you do that

2020-05-19 00:55:14 UTC

But of you suck with irons and say that fancy optic has broken or suffered some sort of failure you can be up shits creek if facing off against people who are excellent shooters with just irons

2020-05-19 00:55:39 UTC

My philosophy is always have a back up for anything

2020-05-19 00:56:20 UTC

Lmfao I love the spoon

@BugsyBaldwin things that are not real - that
Irons break too.

Trijicon SRO on an arisaka offset mount seems like it may be a decent backup plan. I've got a rock solid scope mount but it's not QD

2020-05-19 01:16:23 UTC

Just don’t break anything and you’re good to go. Problem solved

2020-05-19 01:16:36 UTC

but I'm mean to my equipment

2020-05-19 01:17:12 UTC

I mean I'm not nearly as bad as a marine buuuut

2020-05-19 01:17:27 UTC

Lol

2020-05-19 01:19:37 UTC

Sometimes you've gotta just bonk them

Just picked up an ADM UIC Mod 2

2020-05-19 01:21:58 UTC

14.5

2020-05-19 01:22:05 UTC

@Artemis I would *not* put an SRO on a rifle

2020-05-19 01:22:12 UTC

Nice! @bum

2020-05-19 01:22:44 UTC

Better option? Maybe an aimpoint micro?

2020-05-19 01:23:06 UTC

Anyone have any experience with Nightforce LPVOs?

2020-05-19 01:23:26 UTC

Trying to enter into the LPVO world with an offset dot soon

2020-05-19 01:23:28 UTC

nightforce lpvo's are good enough that I can't afford them lol

2020-05-19 01:23:36 UTC

Lol

2020-05-19 01:23:42 UTC

Or Kahles

2020-05-19 01:23:44 UTC

I think flannel daddy has a video on their 1-8 ATACR

2020-05-19 01:24:03 UTC

Rmr, T1 or acro @Artemis, the sro isn’t rated for that

2020-05-19 01:24:06 UTC

I thought about a Razer but I’ve seen people sending their shit into Vortex constantly

2020-05-19 01:24:21 UTC

Nighforce is awesome

2020-05-19 01:24:34 UTC

I’m heavily debating swapping my current 1-8 for a NF

2020-05-19 01:24:46 UTC

Interesting, didn't know that the sro wasn't rated for that. I figured it was just an improved rmr

2020-05-19 01:25:34 UTC

What are you using currently @Crye_Salesman

2020-05-19 01:25:48 UTC

What would you recommend for an offset dot

2020-05-19 01:26:12 UTC

looks like they just suggested the rmr, T1, and acro

2020-05-19 01:29:43 UTC

Acro or rmr?

2020-05-19 01:29:47 UTC

If you had to pick one

2020-05-19 01:35:22 UTC

Going from some quick specs and reviews, I'd lean towards the rmr due to the smaller size, larger window, and better battery life. Apparently a lot of people have been seeing the acro run out of battery in days instead of months or years
