The Discord really helps in meeting people more than anything and the point of not using the word is to keep it up since there are so many people. We aren't planning a violent revolution as well. We want people to repeal unconstitutional laws. A war would not be good for anyone since Syria and Libya are prime examples of rapid government violent government change leading to mass death and harsh laws

Right, we're not, obviously, but this whole "your flags can't have historical resonance because those violent revolutions failed" thing sure smells of it

But I'm reasonably certain that for myself proceeding as if attention already exists is prudent.

The link to join was open and shared across many Facebook sites this is open as can be. Which could hinder as typical counter group practices are to instill distrust in the group members and isolating people to feel they are the only reasonable one.

The goal is to organize into a movement, Conduct peaceful protests, and allow states to begin organizing into their respective chapters of the national organization
