Should I use an eruv?

Good question. For some women, being stuck in a house with 4 small, bored and unhappy children while Abba spends his 9 hours at shul davening and learning on Shabbes is close to torture. She is supposed to enjoy shabbos. If she isn’t enjoying Shabbes under those circumstances, that is a serious problem. If her husband isn’t dealing with the issue, that is a bigger problem. Oneg shabbos is important. And so is shalom bayis.

My opinion, in case anyone cares, is that while conceptually (to me) an eruv is a leniency, it is a leniency the Rishonim, Gaonim, Amoraim, and Tanoyim accepted. For me to call those Chachamin makilim would be chutzpah if it wasn’t so foolish. By that definition, not waiting 24 hours between meat and milk might be a leniency. By that definition, having a retirement fund is a demonstrable lack of emunah in Ha-Shem’s providence. By that definition, far too much of my life is leniencies which are much worse than using an eruv. I suspect that, unfortunately, I have lots of company. I have lots of other things to work on before I consider not using an eruv. But if you are at that level, you shouldn’t accept a psak on a question like this from a website.

Talk to your Rav.

So yes, reptiles, and hene the frog also, are archetypal symbols of primordial darkness, chaos and nothingness

The Romans came from Aeneas who mated with Venus herself or was her son. Venus who rose from the genitalia of Uranus cast into the sea by Saturn, which frothed forth Venus.

Merovich, founder king of the Franks, was the descendant of a Roman legionary and a see nymph. The king of the Danes was a harvest god who was a son of Odin sent from across the sea

Diocletian thought Jupiter chose him after the previous Roman Emperor got fried in his armor by lightning on horseback, his son was killed by assassins, and he ran the guy through with a gladius when he was broughy before the fried guy's officers who of course chose that guy.
