He's using the same argument about trans suicide rates that I've seen used on black crime rates: the suicide rate in the US 4% (crime rate), in the trans community it's 40% (crime rate). The idea that 36% more trans are committing suicide (violent crime) because people are mean to them (racism/poverty) is ridiculous.
