Good
I like that providing legitimate criticism of classic albums is met with the jeers of "he must be trolling"
like you can't have bad ingredients in an overall good meal
I was thinking maybe that's what ruined metal too
the dogma of "sacred" works.
I know for fact what I enjoy isn't necessarily good
softies / black metal ruined metal
black metal lowered the bar
it is clickbait
and @diversity_is_racism said as much
@Death Strike's Bat is there to rile people up, it's 100% clickbait stuff

The music is not melodic; there is no overarching melody; it’s like a three year old throwing cupcakes at the fucking wall. Yes, it’s saccharine until you must behold and clean up their handiwork.
About In Flames - Jester Race
you're retarded pal, deaf, some amusia shit
oh that's it
"overarching melody" what the fuck
it is not criticism first of all @vry_o , it's just attempts at comedic insult bitterman style
secondly, it's just bad, like Cynic - Focus may be terrible but the SMR is just lame and most importantly, not representative
hi @Spinal , I wish I knew who bitterman was, did try to narrow it down to a couple of people but never could actually pinpoint
but it doesn't matter that much, I'll tell you what is known
some dude calling himself bitterman started to write hilarious reviews on metal archives for various albums
it got some traction both on metal archives, where a minority appreciated it (showing that there are always discerning people here and there)
and on the DMU forums/frontpage comments
soon after, we got Sadistic Metal Reviews which were written in the bitterman style, the earliest I suspect were by whoever was behind the monicker in the first place
enough talk though, I'll just show you
unfortunately you cannot simply click his profile anymore on metal archives, so reviews must be searched for individually
a pain in the ass
re: the bitterman comments being deleted
Ah
Thanks
Was he banned? from m-a
Guess he was
