I like star trek alright. The old kirk stuff had a nice campy vibe

star wars started out weak and got worse

how so ?

heinlein is a decent writer with predictable libertarian ideas

star wars? I mean it's just a basic heroes journey type story. the acting is really spotty, the direction is inconsistent

(perhaps unsurprisingly, i likewise ended up libertarian, as heinlien was a big author for me in my younger days)

the best part of the original trilogy is the score
