back in I believe the 70s (if the music is any indication), the popular culture terms for black people and white people were to compare to "ebony and ivory"
really it was white people were "normal" and black people and everything black people related was "ebony" and so they started referring to white people as "ivory," I think there was a song that went "ebony and ivory, living together in harmony" or something
after Martin Luther Kang Junior forced everyone to deal with black people, and after they assimilated the schools at bayonet point and dragged sobbing white girls back to their campuses, this all became a huge cultural issue, how to smooth over the transition
and rapidly the new "ivory" people noticed how differently "ebony" people talked, as previously they had hardly ever had a chance to really hear them speak
and so, phonetics + "ebony" became "ebonics"
literally meaning, "that weird niggerbabble that's practically it's own language"
nobody reads books or even asks why anything is named what it is, so this is all pretty much archaeology
but here's a bit of proof to clinch it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebonics_(word)
```This month marks the fifty-sixth anniversary of the efforts of nine African American students to enroll at Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. “The Little Rock Nine,” as they were dubbed, had been carefully vetted to attend the previously all-white school in order to satisfy a federal order aimed at enforcing the Supreme Court’s ruling in Brown v. Board (1954) . As the Little Rock school board complied with the federal government’s demands that it integrate its schools, many hoped that their high achievement and strong character would help smooth that process. Such hopes proved foolhardy. In the end, only President Eisenhower’s decision to deploy troops from the 101st Airborne Division made it possible for them to matriculate at Central High school in September 1957.```
Use this whenever fags try to tell you America was diverse from the start, by the will of the people
Uncle Sam on our side, yet again
you can find all sorts of pictures of fully armed soldiers ready to fire on white civilians for their crime of not accepting negroes
@Deleted User 57835c2c THAT WOULD BE A GOOD ARTICLE ACTUALLY. DO YOU WANT TO WRITE THIS TOGETHER?
I already wrote the meat of it right in chat
if you copy pasted it and just cleaned up the wording to your liking, it would be short, brutal and topical
This a is a good one too
DO YOU WANT RECOGNITION AS DR. EXILARCH?
I think I post as Robert Grisham
Y’all should join Vanguard America, be our official press
HMMM KHAOS DIDN'T WRITE ME BACK YET HOWEVER
just more rambling, but I think the fact that a generation later Americans act like "we chose diversity." It demonstrates the principle of Stockholm Syndrome, if something is forced on people, in this case literally at gunpoint, they eventually convince themselves that it was their idea and they are happy with it. Consider that when people tell you "freedom" is necessary to have a good society
the history of post MLKang forced integration is a horror show
@༺པརབྱར།བསངཇ༻ dude
your article is blowing up
@Anti-rednibba YES I WAS UNABLE TO FIND HIM
I’ll give you someone else then hold on
