I dropped a marble, it fell, I dug up my garden, I dropped the marble again it fell at the same rate, I dug deeper, I dropped the marble yet again it STILL dropped at the same rate. I dug a really really really deep hole and then dropped the marble, it still continued falling at the same rate, it didn't matter how much mass I removed, the acceleration remained constant.
