Derek the vacuum is not a force meaning there is no force acting on our atmosphere. Gravity is the only dominant force acting on the atmosphere meaning it stays on the earth. Astronauts dont have enough gravity to have an atmosphere surrounding them in a vacuum, planets do, youre comparing apples to oranges.
